WHEREAS, the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation sponsored the Recycling Awards Program to recognize outstanding environmental programs; and
 
WHEREAS, ten Alabama school programs were chosen; and
 
WHEREAS, C. F. Vigor High School has numerous recycling programs in place as well as environmental awareness programs; and
 
WHEREAS, a compost pile has been started where students deposit grass clippings and vegetable scraps brought from home:
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the State Board of Education does hereby commend the Mobile County Board of Education; Paul Joseph Sousa, Superintendent; and Thomas Langley, Principal, for their support and assistance to C. F. Vigor High School in achieving this honor.
