RESOLUTION COMMENDING LESLIE KLASTERKA FOR
ACHIEVING A PERFECT SCORE ON THE ACT ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, Leslie Klasterka, a student at Hoover High School, in the Hoover City School System, was the only student out of some 15,000 Alabama students who took the ACT Assessment in April to score a 36, the highest possible composite score; and
WHEREAS, Leslie was one of only 31 students in the nation, out of approximately 442,000 who were tested, to earn a perfect score; and
WHEREAS, ACT President Richard L. Ferguson stated that Leslie’s achievement “is truly distinguished”; and
WHEREAS, her score qualifies Leslie to attend the most selective colleges and universities in the nation:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Alabama State Board of Education hereby commends Miss Leslie Klasterka for her remarkable achievement and for the hard work and dedication to excellence that obviously led to this distinction, and extends to her its best wishes to continued success in her future academic and other endeavors.
