WHEREAS, Doris Horne, an Education Specialist in the Child Nutrition Section of the Alabama Department of Education, exhibits a positive attitude and is always cooperative; and
 
WHEREAS, Doris Horne is a team player and always meets goals and deadlines in a timely and confidential manner; and
 
WHEREAS, Doris Horne is always helpful and has a willing attitude, interacts well with coworkers, colleagues, superiors, and subordinates, no matter how difficult or detailed the problem; and
 
WHEREAS, Doris Horne is very resourceful, professional, and exhibits total dedication and cooperation in performing assigned tasks and assisting employees; and
 
WHEREAS, Doris Horne maintains a positive image, communicates extremely well with the public, and represents the department well:
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Alabama State Board of Education does hereby commend Doris Horne as the recipient of the “Barbara Fannin Memorial Employee of the Quarter Award” for October - December 2003, and expresses its appreciation for exemplary service to the department, to this board and, ultimately, to Alabama’s public elementary and secondary schools.
