| Loan Forgiveness Information |
|
If you have a loan from the Federal Perkins Loan Program, you might be eligible for loan cancellation for full-time teaching at a low-income school. Click on the weblink and select ALABAMA, then select the school year and enter your school’s name. To review a list of all schools eligible for loan-forgiveness, under the Download TCLI Directory section of the webpage, select ALABAMA and the appropriate school year, then, click on your preferred download method.
The actual loan process and loan forgiveness is between you and the financial institution that holds your loan, and not between you and the State Department of Education.

| LEA Highly Qualified Teacher Equity Plan |

All LEAs are required to submit an annual plan to address the equitable distribution of highly qualified teachers. This session was conducted on December 3, 2008 to assist districts in preparing annual plans for submission. The session focuses on analyzing and addressing the equitable distribution of highly qualified teachers in high need schools.

The following is examined: appropriate consultation, allowable services that can be provided, control of funds used to provide services, materials, and equipment procedures, as well as annual evaluation on the effectiveness of the non-public schools program. Title I, Part A; Title I, Part B; Title I, Part C; Title II, Part A; and Title III, Part A requirements and required documentation for evidence of implementation is presented. |
