IDEA 2004--Part B Final Regulations
The U.S. Department of Education has announced the final Part B regulations to implement the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA). The regulations and other IDEA 2004 resources are available on the US Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) website. Please note that these regulations take effect on October 13, 2006. The IDEA ’97 regulations remain in effect through October 12, 2006. |

STAR is Alabama’s State Assistive Technology Act Program funded under the Assistive Technology Act of 1998 as amended in 2004.
STAR works to increase access to and awareness of Assistive Technology to individuals with disabilities of all ages through comprehensive statewide programs of technology-related assistance. The programs include activities such as short term device loan, device demonstration, device reutilization, alternative finance programs, and training and technical assistance.
