This is the powerpoint presentation presented at the Council for Exceptional Children International Convention & Expo in Boston, MA, April 5, 2008. It presents the five years of involvement with the US Justice Department regarding the Lee v. Macon Special Education Consent Decree (Consent Decree). The Justice Department released Alabama from the Consent Decree on March 8, 2007. However, all of the initiatives will continue in Alabama.
