Description
The State Superintendent of Education is authorized to provide guidelines for the establishment, operation, and oversight of public charter schools, pursuant to the rules and regulations adopted by the Alabama State Board of Education (SBOE). The following “working” preliminary guidance documents are provided by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) Offices: Public Charter Schools; Administrative and Financial Services; Career and Technical Education/Workforce Development; External Affairs; General Counsel; Technology and Data; and Teaching and Learning. All working documents “highlight” key content specific to Act 2015-3 and the ALSDE permanent rules and regulations. Preliminary guidance working documents do not attempt to address all components of Act 2015-3 or the rules and regulations. Documents will be revised as the ALSDE develops specific guidelines and detailed information. NOTE: Tabs with no content will be populated as soon as the ALSDE approves working documents that provide preliminary guidance and basic information related to the tab title.
