bring the school system into compliance.

Each school system has 60 days from the date of the exit conference
(last day of the on-site visit) to have all findings corrected and
documentation submitted to the ALSDE as evidence.

Yes, we encourage school systems to do so. A Technical Assistance form can be downloaded off the Alabama State Department of Education's Web site at http://www.alsde.edu. On the homepage, select Department Offices and under Office of Supporting Programs, select Compliance Monitoring. Once you are on the Compliance Monitoring site, select Technical Assistance Form. Complete the form and submit it to the ALSDE.

Areas we review are Administration and Finance (A&F), Federal
Programs, Career Technical Education, Counseling and Guidance, Library Media, Prevention
and Support, Health Services, Special Education, LEA Gifted Education, and
Transportation. The standards applied are the requirements set forth by
Legislative Acts, School Board mandates and Federal Laws.
